Overview:
The Construction Manager Level 1 leads the construction of medium projects with medium to high complexity in support of completing projects safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.
What you will be doing:

Provide project management for multidisciplinary teams consisting of the company's employees, consultants, and contractors.

Manage program oversight of consultants and contractors, ensuring effective coordination with internal clients and stakeholders.

Support the implementation and sustainment of mandatory requirements and programs related to safety, environment, and other corporate initiatives.

Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Management, field personnel, staff, and contractors to influence project performance.

Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of Capital Construction programs and initiatives, including contractor safety and high-risk work controls.

Lead and facilitate Construction Management forums, training sessions, onboarding, and bootcamps (e.g., Prime Contractor, Qualified Coordinator).

Identify gaps in systems, program implementation, or training, and collaborate with Project Senior Leadership to address them.
What you must have:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Good working knowledge of project management

Excellent working knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and WorkSafe Regulations

Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Experience providing project management for multidisciplinary teams (employees, consultants, contractors).

Proven ability to lead and influence in complex, multi-employer construction environments.

Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and technical direction to construction professionals.

Experience implementing or improving operational processes and technologies to enhance business performance.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, adaptable to audiences from field staff to senior management.

Proven experience organizing, modeling, and translating data into actionable insights and strategic reporting.

Strong leadership, relationship management, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
-
Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
-
Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing.
Salary/Rate Range: $57-70 per hour
Term: 6-month contract; most likely to extend
