Overview:
Leads business analysis activities for enterprise initiatives involving SharePoint Online, records management, data management, system decommissioning, and enterprise data platforms. Acts as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders — analyzing problems, evaluating solution options, identifying risks and impacts, and driving successful implementation. This role requires moving beyond requirements gathering to deliver real analysis, recommendations, and decisions, with minimal supervision.
What you will be doing:

Lead BA activities through the full Waterfall project lifecycle; run current/future-state assessments, gap/impact/root cause analysis, and facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions.

Evaluate solution alternatives and deliver evidence-based recommendations.

Analyze requirements and recommend SharePoint Online solutions (site structure, document libraries, metadata, content types, retention, permissions, search); assess impacts of migrations and modernization efforts.

Analyze data sources, flows, integrations, and reporting needs; support master/reference data, reporting, and enterprise data platform initiatives; conduct data mapping, business rule analysis, and data quality/lineage assessments.

Support records management: retention schedules, disposition, classification models, and compliance impacts tied to migrations or decommissioning.

Maintain BRDs, functional/non-functional requirements, process maps, gap and impact assessments, data mapping specs, traceability matrices, test scenarios, decision registers, and risk/assumption logs — all clear, complete, traceable, and testable.
What you must have:

CBAP certification
-
Higher education business processes/systems experience

Experience with Banner, Workday, or enterprise data platforms

Knowledge of records management legislation and privacy requirements

Enterprise content migration experience

Experience in regulated or public-sector environments
Experience Required
-
10+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or Senior Business Analyst, applying BABOK-aligned techniques: process analysis, current/future state analysis, gap analysis, impact analysis, root cause analysis, stakeholder analysis, data analysis, risk analysis, requirements traceability, and solution evaluation.

8+ years supporting SharePoint Online implementations, migrations, or governance — including information architecture, metadata/content types, retention and disposition, security/permissions, and enterprise search.

8+ years supporting data management, reporting, analytics, or enterprise data initiatives — including data governance, data quality, data mapping/lineage, master data management, and BI environments.

Experience with enterprise content, records, or document management/information governance projects.

Proven experience delivering within Waterfall project environments (not Agile).

Comfortable working across business and technical
Salary/Rate Range: $85.00 - $110.00/ hour
