Overview:
Our client is a fast-growing, impact-driven organization pioneering innovative digital logistics and food rescue solutions. The Director of Operations will play a key leadership role, scaling national operational systems, optimizing service delivery, and managing team performance across multiple regions. Partnering closely with executive leadership, this individual will drive cross-functional alignment, refine core processes, and ensure exceptional service quality while supporting the company's rapid growth.
What you will be doing:

Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing operations team through clear goal-setting, performance management, and continuous coaching.

Own end-to-end program execution and client onboarding to deliver seamless, scalable operational transitions nationwide.

Establish, document, and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), SLAs, and quality control metrics to increase speed and cost efficiency.

Serve as the senior point of contact for complex operational challenges and client escalations across all business networks.

Collaborate with C-suite executives on strategic planning, resource distribution, and capacity management as the business expands.

Track and report on key corporate metrics, including service level performance, client satisfaction, and onboarding timelines.

Partner cross-functionally with technical development, business development, and commercial teams to streamline delivery.

Support team expansion initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, and training.

Travel nationally as needed to manage site visits, foster key relationships, and lead in-person team initiatives.
What you must have:

5+ years of operations management experience, preferably within a fast-scaling, field service, or multi-site environment.

Demonstrated track record of team leadership, people management, and employee development.

Proven capability in process optimization and workflow design within dynamic or ambiguous settings.

Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated leadership style with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Canada.

Vancouver-based or able to commute regularly to the local office (hybrid work arrangement).

High technical aptitude; familiarity with Salesforce, Google Workspace, or Slack is an asset.

Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.
Salary/Rate Range: $90,000 - $120,000 base salary per year (commensurate with experience), plus full benefits, 3 weeks PTO, birthday leave, and an education allowance.
