What you will be doing:

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership on building envelope and rehabilitation projects.

  • Manage work involving exterior glazing, opaque wall assemblies, roofs, balconies, parking garages, waterproofing, and cladding systems.

  • Perform building science diagnostics, condition assessments, investigations, and testing of building envelope systems.

  • Ensure restoration projects meet applicable industry standards, technical requirements, and client expectations.

Project Management

  • Lead building restoration and repair projects from initial planning through completion.

  • Define project scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Monitor project progress and control timelines, costs, quality, and risks.

  • Prepare or review technical reports, specifications, schematic designs, and contract administration documentation.

  • Review and approve project deliverables to ensure they meet technical requirements and client objectives.

  • Guide and train Project Associates and junior staff throughout project execution.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors.

  • Resolve conflicts and address unusual site conditions that may affect project progress.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.

Client Management and Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.

  • Serve as the key liaison between project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide clear, timely, and responsive communication and follow up on requests.

  • Seek client feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.

  • Identify future work opportunities at client properties.

  • Foster long-term client relationships that support both client objectives and company growth.

Revenue Generation

  • Contribute to short- and long-term strategic planning and company growth initiatives.

  • Meet established revenue and financial performance targets.

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets.

  • Maintain project profitability through effective scope, schedule, and resource management.


What you must have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of building science experience within the consulting sector, with a strong focus on restoration and rehabilitation projects.

  • Minimum 2+ years as a Project Manager.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligibility to obtain the designation.

  • Proven project management expertise, including contract administration, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and proposal writing/development.

  • Demonstrated ability to take building science restoration projects from conception to completion, including defining scope of work, preparing detailed specifications, and overseeing the project lifecycle.

  • Technical expertise in the preparation of specifications and schematic designs for the repair or replacement of existing building assets, including curtain walls, cladding, balconies, roofing systems, and parking garages.

  • Extensive experience working on diverse building science projects across various building types, such as multi-residential (condominiums), community housing, municipal buildings, commercial offices, and recreational facilities.

  • Strong technical experience with building science/restoration components such as exterior glazing, building envelopes, structural repairs, waterproofing, and parking structures.

  • Expertise in preparing project proposals, technical specifications, and Building Conditions Assessment reports.

  • Previous experience in providing accurate cost estimates for remedial repairs and guiding projects to meet financial targets.


Salary/Rate Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00
