What you will be doing:

  • Work directly with internal and external customers to understand operational needs and translate them into technical requirements

  • Develop CONOPS and other systems engineering documentation

  • Translate high-level customer and system requirements into lower-level system, subsystem and feature requirements

  • Perform requirements decomposition, allocation and traceability

  • Support system architecture, design and interface definition

  • Perform engineering analyses and trade studies to support system and subsystem design decisions

  • Develop engineering plans, requirements specifications, Interface Control Documents and operational concepts

  • Work with multidisciplinary development teams to ensure requirements are correctly translated into implemented solutions

  • Support subsystem and system-level integration, verification and validation

  • Trace requirements through design and ultimately into testing

  • Present technical designs, recommendations and reports to internal and external stakeholders

  • Participate in design reviews and customer-facing technical discussions

  • Support project planning, work estimates and engineering activities throughout the program lifecycle


What you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Physics or a related engineering discipline

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

  • Strong practical experience working through the systems engineering lifecycle

  • Experience with requirements engineering, including requirements decomposition, allocation and traceability

  • Experience contributing to the design and delivery of large-scale or complex multidisciplinary systems

  • Ability to work from high-level customer requirements through subsystem requirements, design, integration and verification

  • Understanding of engineering lifecycles spanning complex engineering programs and software development

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with customers and multidisciplinary technical teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Salary/Rate Range: $95,000-$150,000 equivalent range
