Overview:
A Langley-based Manufacturing company specializing in high-quality heavy steel products is currently seeking an organized and proactive Export Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to join the team. In this role, you will be the backbone of the shipping operations, ensuring the accurate, efficient, and compliant movement of steel products across Canadian, U.S., and international markets. You will support the production and customer service departments by managing freight logistics, maintaining complex export documentation, and collaborating with our warehouse, sales, and freight partners.


What you will be doing:

  • Logistics & Freight Coordination: Manage inbound and outbound shipments (domestic, U.S., and international overseas). You will book and track containers, and coordinate directly with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and customs brokers.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Audit and prepare all export-related documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, etc.). Ensure all shipments meet international regulatory standards and maintain accurate records in our ERP system.

  • Efficiency & Strategy: Identify opportunities to reduce freight expenses, optimize load utilization, and negotiate competitive carrier rates. You will play an active role in continuous improvement by streamlining documentation and analyzing freight performance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams (Sales, Quality) and external partners (international clients, carriers) to ensure on-time delivery and resolution of any order discrepancies.


What you must have:

  • Experience:  experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment preferred. Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry is considered an asset.

  • Technical Skills:  proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe. Experience working with ERP systems.

  • Education: Completion of Grade 12. Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or business is an asset.

  • Soft Skills: You possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.


Salary/Rate Range: $50,000.00 - $56,160.00


Other Information:

  • Employment Type: This is a full-time 1-Year Contract (with the possibility of becoming permanent, after the year is completed.)

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
