Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality, hands-on patient care in a clinical healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong medication administration, phlebotomy, treatment, and patient assessment skills and be comfortable responding to urgent patient needs within the LPN scope of practice.

Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts per week

• Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Weekends: Every other weekend

• Holidays: As needed
  
  Rate: 37/hr Local and 41/hr  Travel

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications while adhering to established medication rights and patient safety protocols.

• Complete medication refills according to Provider orders and established procedures.

• Provide direct patient care to meet individual health needs in accordance with established plans of care.

• Complete point-of-care sample collection, including phlebotomy.

• Administer vaccines and other IM/SubQ medications.

• Provide routine treatments, including but not limited to:

  • Wound care and dressing changes

  • Enema administration

  • Topical medication application

  • Colostomy care

  • Surgical preparation procedures

• Monitor patient response to treatments and promptly report observations, changes in condition, and treatment outcomes to the Registered Nurse and/or Advanced Practice Provider.

• Respond appropriately to patients experiencing physiological distress and provide emergency interventions in accordance with BLS standards and within the applicable scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all patient care, treatments, medications, and encounters within the electronic health record (EHR).

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the applicable state.

• Current BLS certification.

• Demonstrated experience with medication administration and medication safety protocols.

• Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills.

• Experience administering vaccines and IM/SubQ medications.

• Experience providing wound care and other routine nursing treatments.

• Proficiency documenting patient care in an electronic health record.

• Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately within scope of practice.

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
