Chief Growth Officer

Vaughan, Ontario • Direct Hire • November 03, 2026 • 91376

Base Salary Range: $250000 - $275000

Job Title: Chief Growth Officer
Job ID: 91376
Location: Vaughan/ Toronto, Ontario

Overview:
Our client is an established product and platform engineering company headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area with approximately 1,000 engineering professionals across North America and India. For more than 15 years, their expertise spans custom product and platform development on Azure, AWS and Google Cloud -- not package configuration, not managed services, not ticket queues. Their clients are North American enterprises and platform companies whose businesses run on software they own, and who need engineering capability and AI-nativity to keep that software evolving. The business has earned an exceptional reputation through long-standing client relationships, high customer retention, and referrals generated by consistently delivering quality outcomes. As the organization enters its next phase of growth, they are investing in a commercial leader who will help transform an organically successful business into a scalable growth organization. This is an opportunity for a builder--someone equally comfortable closing strategic enterprise opportunities, developing a high-performing commercial function, and establishing the systems and processes that support sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Growth Officer will lead the company's go-to-market strategy and oversee all new business acquisition activities across North America. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future growth strategy of an established engineering organization that is expanding its market presence through four defined offerings around AI-native delivery, retail decision orchestration and marketing-platform modernization, and two of them go to market in January. They are differentiated and they are provable -- but they need someone who can take them to a market that does not yet know the category exists. The plan for next year is demanding. Some of what you are given to sell will still be taking shape while you are selling it. This executive will be responsible for driving enterprise sales, business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, and inside sales while building a disciplined commercial organization capable of supporting the company's long-term growth objectives. While leadership is an important component of the role, this position requires an executive who remains actively engaged in enterprise selling. During the company's next stage of growth, the successful candidate will personally lead strategic opportunities while simultaneously recruiting, mentoring, and developing the commercial team.

What you will be doing:

  • New-logo sales: Enterprise and upper-mid-market acquisition across North America. You carry a number, and so does everyone on your team

  • Business development: Partnerships and alliances -- including the technology partners behind our offerings, where co-sell is a real route to market

  • Marketing: A marketing director and team. Positioning, content, campaigns, events, the website

  • Inside sales: An existing team doing outbound and qualification. It needs direction and a reason to call more than it needs rebuilding

What Success Looks Like
Success in this position will be measured by meaningful commercial outcomes rather than activity alone. Within the first year, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Secure several high-value logos that align with the company's long-term growth strategy.

  • Build a qualified pipeline of strategic opportunities within clearly defined target markets.

  • Recruit and develop key executive sellers while improving the effectiveness of existing marketing and inside sales functions.

  • Establish repeatable go-to-market motions for at least one of four offerings that can be successfully executed by future sales leaders.

  • Introduce a commercial operating rhythm of weekly deal inspection, monthly forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management practices that provide confidence across the executive team.

What you must have:

  • Recent success personally originating and closing complex enterprise services engagements.

  • Experience selling technology consulting, digital engineering, software development, or platform engineering services and NOT software products.

  • A history of building or significantly scaling commercial organizations within growing technology companies.

  • Success competing against larger global consulting or technology services organizations.

  • Willingness to own a sales quota for at least a year. Enthusiastically, not as a transitional inconvenience.

Nice to have:
Additional experience that would be highly valued includes:

  • Leadership experience within a mid-sized technology services or product or platform engineering organization -- you know what it is like to compete on capability rather than scale

  • Selling to both engineering leadership and the commercial side of a business, because their offerings land in different places

  • Having strategic relationships with cloud providers and technology alliance partners that generate meaningful commercial opportunities.

  • Hiring, coaching, and developing enterprise sales professionals.

  • Bringing new service offerings or emerging technologies successfully to market.

Leadership Style
This organization places significant value on integrity, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships.
The successful executive will:

  • Build credibility with engineering, product, and delivery teams.

  • Communicate transparently with customers regarding capabilities, timelines, and expectations.

  • Collaborate effectively across technical and commercial functions.

  • Make thoughtful, informed commitments that align with delivery capabilities.

  • Lead with accountability, preparation, and professionalism.

The company's strongest client relationships have been built over many years through trust and consistently delivering on commitments. The Chief Growth Officer will play an important role in extending that reputation into new markets and new customer relationships.

Salary/Rate Range: $250,000.00 - $275,000.00

Other Information:

  • Location. Vaughan (Toronto) preferred. We will consider a major North American metro with ready access to clients, for a candidate who is genuinely willing to travel and be in Toronto regularly. However, our client will strongly prefer remote candidates who are willing to relocate to Toronto to be close to the global headquarters in Vaughan.

  • Compensation. Base plus variable, with the variable weighted to logos landed and their quality rather than to revenue recognized in-year. Equity participation.

Why This Opportunity?
The successful candidate will have executive visibility, meaningful influence over corporate strategy, and the opportunity to build a commercial organization from a strong operational foundation.
You will be told everything material about the company and the year ahead before you are asked to decide. Our client would rather you say no with full information than yes without it.

Our client is an equal opportunity employer. They welcome applications from everyone and will make accommodations through any part of this process on request.
