Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesiologist to join our collaborative team at a well-established healthcare system in the Grey Bruce Region serving a population of 170,000.  The Owen Sound hospital is a Level 2 regional referral center, offering a full range of specialty services through the Departments of Anesthesia, Medical Imaging, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Pathology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT, General/Thoracic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Urology). This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive environment, with access to a full range of surgical and diagnostic services.


What you will be doing:

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology, ENT, and others.

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up as required.

• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure safe, effective patient care.

• Participate in on-call rotations as required by the department. (Current schedule is a 1 in 8 rotation).

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

What you must have:

• Certification in Anesthesiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent.

• Eligible for independent practice in Ontario and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

• International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are welcome to apply; support for licensing and credentialing is available.

Salary/Rate Range: $400,000 - $700,000
