What you will be doing:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of production team members to meet daily production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, OSHA, and company policies.

  • Lead shift start-up meetings and communicate goals, expectations, and production issues to team members.

  • Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or workflow as needed to meet demand.

  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members; document performance and support disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, waste, and other key metrics; complete daily shift reports.

  • Communicate effectively with other shifts, maintenance, quality, and sanitation teams to ensure continuity and resolve issues.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment; coordinate with maintenance to address breakdowns or preventive maintenance needs.

  • Respond promptly to food safety or quality concerns in collaboration with the QA team.

  • Foster a positive team environment focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.



What you must have:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment.

  • Strong understanding of production processes, food safety standards (GMP, HACCP), and OSHA regulations.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production tracking systems; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
