Overview:
Our client is currently in the implementation phase of modernizing its core Juvenile Justice Information System, a mission-critical application used by approximately 2,500 end users across the client and Oregon’s 36 counties. The legacy system, built on an on-premise Oracle database, is being transitioned to a modern low-code platform. To support this initiative, the client seeks two experienced Senior Quality Assurance Analysts (IV) to join the team on a part-time, fully remote basis. These individuals will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of the new system throughout the development lifecycle.


What you will be doing:

  • Perform manual testing including functional, regression, and system testing.

  • Investigate and create valid test data for new and existing test cases.

  • Identify relevant data sources from relational databases, especially Oracle, to validate business logic.

  • Accurately identify, document, and track issues or defects, and verify fixes through re-testing.

  • Develop and maintain clear documentation of test cases, test results, and QA procedures.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as needed.

  • Support quality-related decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle.


What you must have:

  • Proven experience in manual software testing and QA processes.

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (especially Oracle) and the ability to identify appropriate test data sources.

  • Experience writing and executing test cases, test plans, and defect tracking using QA tools.

  • Effective communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.

  • Experience working in Agile methodologies.


Nice to have:

  • Experience working within juvenile justice, corrections, or similar public sector domains.

  • Familiarity with low-code platforms or modernization efforts involving legacy systems.


Other Information:

  • Work Schedule: 20 hours/week (Monday through Friday). All work must be completed during Pacific Standard Time business hours.

  • Work Location: Fully remote.
