The Opportunity
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join a dynamic finance team based in Vancouver. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, this position plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial strategy, planning, and decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and analytical professional looking to contribute to a growing and innovative organization within the financial services sector. This role will be approximately 80% FP&A and 20% Financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and forecasts
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process for strategic planning
  • Record monthly journal entries and maintain working papers for subsidiary companies
  • Prepare monthly internal financial statements and management reporting
  • Analyze financial trends and provide clear commentary on variances
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated audit materials and tax data
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support financial and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements in reporting and accounting
What You Bring
  • CPA designation or working towards it
  • Public practice experience is an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with enterprise accounting systems
  • Background in financial services is an asset
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across various teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
