Estimating –  Commercial Construction. Opportunity to advance to a Lead Estimator role. Will relocate for the position. What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage the estimating team, overseeing budgets and bid estimates

  • Coordinate resources, software, and personnel to ensure accurate and timely estimating

  • Work with management to maintain departmental standards for bid packages, deliverable formats, and budget tracking

  • Prepare detailed bid estimates using software, spreadsheets, and manual calculations

  • Evaluate potential projects and provide recommendations based on company priorities and market conditions

  • Assign responsibilities within the estimating team for each project

  • Review project plans and specifications to confirm full scope and identify risks

  • Mentor estimators and project coordinators to develop their skills

  • Prepare bid solicitation documents, instructions to bidders, and other related materials

  • Maintain thorough documentation of project information and bid processes


What you must have:

  • Minimum 4 years of estimating experience in commercial construction

  • Demonstrated portfolio of successful estimates for commercial or institutional projects

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team towards common goals

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Heavy Bid software is an asset

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent relevant work experience
