Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Cutover and Hyper-care Manager to lead the transition and stabilization phase of our SAP S/4HANA implementation, in five logistics locations in Japan. This is part of a larger Supply Chain and Manufacturing transformation program for our Medical Devices client. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Japanese and English, with proven expertise in managing large-scale system cutovers, hyper-care support, and enterprise-wide rollout activities within complex environments.
What you will be doing:

Develop and execute comprehensive Hypercare Training programs for end users, super users, and all project team members.

Build and maintain a detailed resource plan, including roles and responsibilities for all team members, specifying allocations by day and hour.

Design and communicate the core Hyper-care support schedule, establishing daily calls, agendas, and escalation routines.

Oversee site security, ensure completion of training, and entry protocols for traveling resources.

Confirm early access lists, including key cutover users, and coordinate their onboarding.

Set up and train all relevant parties on the Command Center, WS Triage lines, SWAT Team lines, and escalation procedures.

Ensure the Incident Management Tool is configured with appropriate queues, group memberships, and workflows.

Develop, review, and finalize SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, inspection sheets, and quick reference guides (QRGs) for sites such as distribution centers and manufacturing sites.

Align on KPIs across operational, business, data, and IT metrics, and establish reporting cadence.

Lead and complete all cutover activities, including technical cutover, operational ramp-down, data loads, business cutover, and production readiness verification, securing sign-offs.

Define and execute Run State acceptance criteria for transition to run-state.

Verify operational readiness at impacted sites, including printers, scanners, terminals, carrier systems, etc.

Ensure all technology components (mobiles, MS Teams, virtual support systems) are in place and functional.

Activate and maintain the Hyper-care portal, ensuring all links and support channels are active.

Conduct tabletop exercises to validate connectivity and communication channels between SWAT, Workstream, and Command Center teams.

Validate hardware configurations at all impacted sites.

Develop and implement a deployment phase overlapping strategy for phased deployment, minimizing disruption.
What you must have:

Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written) is required.

8+ years in Project Management within SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP system implementations.

Strong background in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing technology deployments.

Demonstrated expertise in system cutover, hyper-care management, and enterprise support.

Excellent organizational and resource planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.

Exceptional communication skills to train, coordinate, and support diverse teams.

Experience working in a regulated environment (Life Sciences) is a plus.

Familiarity with incident management tools, SOP/WI development, and support portal management.
Nice to have:

Certification in project management (PMP, PMI-ACP) or SAP-specific certifications.

Experience with virtual support models and remote team coordination.
