Overview:
As a Software Developer in Test (SDET), you will be part of a small, highly focused team responsible for delivering scalable and robust AI and Machine Learning services within the platform. You will collaborate closely with developers to design testing solutions and validate code and applications. You will monitor testing effectiveness, coverage, and quality, and, where necessary, help drive improvements by researching and implementing industry-leading testing practices.

What you will be doing:

• Participate in team planning and story grooming.

• Provide training, mentorship, and support to developers and other team members.

• Suggest improvements to quality, coverage, test automation, and testing processes.

• Oversee, consult, and participate in test planning, execution, issue resolution, and results reporting in support of releases.

• Conduct code reviews and help maintain the quality of the application and testing code.

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks, infrastructure, and tools.

• Ensure that automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure are well-documented.

 
What you must have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a dedicated testing role.

• Dynamic, fast-learning personality with strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong understanding of testing practices and quality processes in an agile environment.

• Proficiency in structured programming languages such as Java or Python.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or Pytest.

Nice to have:

• Testing machine learning algorithms, large language models, or AI applications.

• Testing backend systems in code using mocks.

• Testing vector databases.

• Performance testing with Gatling, Locust, or similar tools.

• Generating and optimizing test data.

• Automating testing in CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.

Salary/Rate Range: $60,000 - $90,000 CAD
