Overview:
The Child Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders, performing psychiatric assessments, and providing timely, accurate charting of clinical encounters for residents with intellectual disabilities using our electronic medical records.
 

What you must have:

• Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas and be Board Certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry in the State of Texas.

• Must have a current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

• Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#). 

• Must complete facility and HHSC required training 

• A psychiatrist must be proficient in computers/electronics health records.

• Must be able to work in a team environment.

• Must have good communication skills, be organized, and be able to present information

• Justification of medication use.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.
