Overview:
TEEMA is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design and rapid delivery of high-impact automation solutions within a healthcare payer environment. This role will own the end-to-end automation lifecycle — from process discovery and ROI analysis through solution architecture, development, and deployment — while leveraging modern Generative AI approaches to reduce manual work and eliminate brittle legacy RPA patterns. You will act as the technical lead, solution architect, and mentor for automation initiatives across clinical, enrollment, provider, and IT operations.

What you will be doing:
Process Discovery & ROI Analysis

  • Lead workshops with business stakeholders to map complex workflows

  • Identify high-volume, rules-based automation opportunities

  • Quantify time savings and business impact

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design scalable, end-to-end automation frameworks

  • Integrate cloud platforms such as SharePoint, Databricks, and enterprise healthcare systems

  • Define secure, maintainable automation standards

Generative AI-Driven Automation

  • Replace legacy rule-based parsing with LLM-powered intelligent workflows

  • Implement AI solutions to:

    • Extract structured data from unstructured provider communications

    • Summarize clinical documentation

    • Automate document processing

Advanced Development

  • Build complex automations using:

    • Power Automate Cloud

    • Power Automate Desktop

    • Custom scripting and connectors

  • Implement advanced:

    • Error handling

    • Exception management

    • Performance optimization

Integration Strategy

  • Develop custom connectors using Python, PowerShell, JSON, or similar technologies

  • Enable data exchange where native APIs do not exist

Governance & Technical Leadership

  • Establish Secure-by-Design automation standards

  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers

  • Ensure 24/7 bot stability in virtualized environments


What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

  • 8+ years in software development, data engineering, or workflow automation

  • 5+ years expert-level Microsoft Power Platform experience, including:

    • Power Automate Cloud

    • Power Automate Desktop

  • Deep experience with:

    • ETL pipelines

    • REST/SOAP APIs

    • SQL & NoSQL environments

Healthcare Domain Expertise

  • Proven experience automating workflows in a healthcare payer environment, such as:

    • Enrollment processing

    • Provider credentialing

    • Clinical prior authorization

  • Experience working with large volumes of unstructured medical data

Technical Expertise

  • Generative AI (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI APIs, etc.)

  • OCR / NLP / Document AI

  • Prompt engineering for structured data extraction

  • Automated testing frameworks for AI validation in regulated environments

  • Legacy system integration without native APIs

  • Performance tuning of bots and scripts

Core Competencies
