Base Salary Range: $70000 - $100000

The Opportunity

We’re working with a well-established environmental services provider specializing in water treatment and dewatering solutions across municipal, industrial, and environmental projects.

This is a high-impact, hybrid Project Manager / Estimator role, where you’ll be involved from pre-construction through full project execution. You’ll be an impactful member of the team and play a key role in developing new opportunities, winning work, and delivering projects successfully.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the commercial and execution sides of projects in an organisation in which you can make a real impact.

 

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Estimating & Pre-Construction

  • Prepare and submit proposals, tenders, and cost estimates

  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for feasibility and scope

  • Clarify requirements with engineers and stakeholders during bid stages

  • Support contract development, budgeting, and project planning

  • Develop cost models, pricing strategies, and bid documentation

Project Management & Execution

  • Manage projects from award through completion

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and close out projects in line with scope, schedule, and budget

  • Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

  • Issue and manage purchase orders, contracts, change orders, and extra work

  • Track project costs, production, and financial performance

  • Review daily field reports, timecards, and material usage for accuracy

  • Ensure alignment with project specifications and client expectations

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for:

    • Clients

    • Consultants

    • Engineers

    • Subcontractors and suppliers

    • Colleagues

  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders

  • Identify opportunities to enhance project outcomes and exceed client expectations

  • Support team coordination and ensure clear communication across field and office teams

  • Contribute to execution strategies and problem-solving on active projects

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and market opportunities

  • Help build high-performing project teams in dynamic environments

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company safety standards and OHSA requirements

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities

  • Maintain accountability for project team well-being and safe execution

 


What you’ll need to be successful:

Experience & Background

  • Proven ability in estimating, project coordination, or project management

  • Understanding of:

    • Drawings and specification processes

    • Job costing and budgeting

    • Contract types (unit price, fixed price, cost-plus)

  • Experience in construction, civil, or environmental project environments a nice to have but not critical.

 


Technical & Professional Skills

  • Ability to develop and present accurate project estimates

  • High level understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes - not a hard requirement

  • Strong negotiation and coordination skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office and estimating / project costing software

  • Excellent communication skills across field and executive stakeholders
