Base Salary Range: $78000 - $110000
On behalf of our client, one of BC's Top Employers for 2026, TEEMA is seeking a Corporate Paralegal.
We are currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal to support their busy Business Law practice group. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Canadian law firm, be energetic, flexible, highly motivated and driven to succeed.
Duties of the position:
• Assisting lawyers with the preparation of legal documents relating to all stages of complex corporate transactions
• Formation and governance matters relating to corporations (both business and societies),partnerships and joint ventures
• Conducting and reviewing public searches, including corporate searches, PPR registrations, tax and employment matters
• Preparing and filing documents for partnerships, limited partnerships, business names and extra-provincial registrations across Canada
• Preparing documents to change the registered and records office, effect name changes, change share capital, issue and transfer shares, appoint and remove directors and officers and other basic miscellaneous resolutions
• Preparing documents for BC societies and federal not-for-profit corporations.
• Attending to filings with the BC Registrar of Companies, Corporations Canada and other corporate registries
• Due diligence review of corporate records for asset/share purchase transactions.
• Assist in preparation of documents regarding deficiencies
• Responding to client inquiries and handle routine corporate tasks independently
• Assisting students, lawyers and other departments with various corporate matters
The Ideal Candidate will have:
• A paralegal certificate from an accredited institution with experience working in a Canadian law firm
• 3+ years’ experience as a British Columbia corporate/commercial paralegal
• Strong working knowledge of ALF (administration and coding) and BC Online
• Advanced technical skills including NetDocs, MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
• Excellent written (grammar, spelling, proofreading) and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing first-rate level of knowledge and prompt quality service to clients and internal stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
• High level organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce quality and accurate work
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage high volume of work in a fast-paced environment with multiple lawyers
• Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills coupled with a willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demands
• Proven ability to be resourceful, take initiative and be proactive, as well as follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines
• Positive, professional, can-do attitude
Compensation + Benefits
The salary range for this role is $78,000 - $110,000 annually+
