Mammography Technologist

Schedule: Day Shift, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join a dedicated imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and mammography procedures that support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic radiography and breast imaging procedures as ordered by a licensed practitioner. Responsibilities include reviewing and confirming patient history, preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, positioning patients and equipment, and operating imaging equipment to produce high-quality images.

This role requires attention to patient comfort, safety, proper identification, image quality, and radiation protection. The technologist will evaluate images for technical accuracy, assist with interventional procedures as needed, verify informed consent, use aseptic technique, and provide appropriate physical and emotional support throughout the procedure.

Additional responsibilities include preparing or administering contrast media or medications when permitted by state law and facility policy, participating in required education and compliance programs, supporting hospital policies and procedures, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Associate degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Required certifications and credentials include:

OBMI registration
ARRT registration as a Mammography Technologist
Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, but not required.
