Ultrasound Sonographer

As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will perform high quality diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. You will play an essential role in patient care by combining technical expertise with compassion and professionalism.
This role is perfect for a sonographer who enjoys variety, values autonomy, and takes pride in delivering exceptional imaging quality and patient experiences. Advanced Users within the department may also serve as in house resources for workflow optimization, clinical applications, and peer education.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Review patient history and correlate clinical information to ensure accurate imaging studies
• Prepare and educate patients while creating a calm and reassuring experience
• Operate ultrasound equipment and imaging technology with precision and efficiency
• Produce high quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures as needed
• Practice safe patient care techniques and maintain infection prevention standards
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately during procedures
• Provide patient education and emotional support throughout the imaging process
• Maintain accurate records and uphold patient confidentiality
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and department standards
• Serve as a mentor and educational resource for students, peers, and clinical staff when applicable
• Support departmental workflow, equipment maintenance, and inventory management
• Float to other qualified areas as needed to support patient care operations
Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited sonography program
• ARDMS registered Ultrasound Sonographer
• OBMI license
• Current BLS certification
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience
