Overview:
The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for driving all sales activities for their assigned accounts and Atlantic provinces territory. This individual is responsible for achieving quarterly/annual sales goals, supporting distribution channels, building strategic business relationships, and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution. The Technical Sales Representative is also responsible for containing the costs of selling in order to achieve predetermined profit yields.


What you will be doing:

  • Achieve sales goals and objectives for assigned accounts.

  • Achieve quarterly and/or annual sales plans, policies, and programs for all assigned accounts.

  • Attend trade shows.

  • Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.

  • Maximize relationships with key retail and wholesale partners.

  • Communicate brand identity to pertinent business units, key business partners, and the customer base.

  • Conduct sales forecasts and weekly and/or monthly status reports.

  • Responsible for collection of accounts receivable in conjunction with A/R staff to ensure rapid and effective collection.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Do everything reasonable to ensure the health and safety of themselves and co-workers.

  • Maintain cyclical and as required safety tasks as directed by the health and safety program and jurisdictional health and safety legislation.

  • Regularly communicate with employees regarding occupational health and safety, observing performance for compliance to the program.

  • Immediately notify and liaise with the Health and Safety department regarding OH&S visits, inspection or inquiries, and health or safety related incidents.


What you must have:

  • Five (5) Years of direct work experience in a selling role.

  • Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.

  • Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions.

  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills.

  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and advertising theories and practices.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial practices.

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.

Certifications & Training

  • Post-secondary education.


Salary/Rate Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00


Other Information:

  • Travel will be required (roughly 5 days/month)

  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
