Continuous investment in learning means you will work with people who are among the best in the industry.  This is an opportunity to excel in an environment that genuinely supports your personal and professional development. IT QA Automation Engineer – Private Equity:  The PE IT team supports a fast growing Private Equity (PE) Fund Administration business.  The data and applications environment supports our global PE business teams and clients with approximately $400 billion under administration. The IT QA Automation Engineer works closely within a cross-functional organization of business stakeholders, developers, and infrastructure engineers to define, measure and verify Quality Standards and Controls through all phases of the SDLC in this fast paced and growing line of business.  It will also be necessary to align with corporate global governance standards and ensure PE IT benefits from our global best practices for Quality Assurance. To be successful, the individual must have excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability and willingness to try new and modern technologies to meet the specific requirements of each project.  Strong knowledge of QA Automation approaches and technologies as well as a demonstrable ability to put these into practice are keys to a successful candidate.


What you will be doing:

• You will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and ETL applications

• Test data management and preparation

• Performance testing where applicable

• Conduct exploratory and ad-hoc testing when required

• Participate in test planning, strategy development, and requirements review sessions

• Collaborate with Business Analysts during planning and grooming sessions

• Create and maintain test documentation

• Contribute to process improvements and testing frameworks

• Own sign off documentation and reporting

What you must have:

• You must have minimum 5 years’ experience in testing

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in test automation

• Experience with test automation frameworks

• Strong programming skills in .NET Core, Java, Python or equivalent

• Proficient in SQL with ability to write and maintain database queries 

• Demonstrable knowledge of testing methodologies 

• Self-motivated, innovative and analytical with strong attention to detail

• Strong troubleshooting skills and able to manage and prioritize tasks 

• Think creatively and propose options/solutions to challenges 

• Integration of automated tests with continuous integration solutions such as Azure/Jenkins/Octopus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively in a global team environment

• Financial Services experience an advantage
    

Salary/Rate Range: CAD $105,000-$135,000


Other Information:
 

• Hybrid – onsite 3 days/week downtown Toronto (close to Union Station)

• 40 hour work week
