Overview:
Our client is a highly successful and established home building firm based in West Vancouver. They are seeking a highly organized and team-motivated Office Manager to ensure operational efficiency and team satisfaction. This full-time, salaried role reports directly to the owner and serves as a central point of stability, blending office administration, HR coordination, and executive support. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with a high level of emotional intelligence who thrives in a collaborative, tight-knit environment.
What you will be doing:

Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day office functions, including inventory management, supply procurement, and maintaining a professional front-of-house presence.

Executive & Administrative Support: Provide dedicated assistance to the company ownership and support site supervisors and project managers with various project-related tasks.

HR & People Operations: Foster a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and lead the planning of team-building activities and holiday events.

Safety & Compliance: Manage WorkSafe BC requirements, maintain safety documentation, and coordinate quarterly safety meetings and required certifications.

Process Improvement: Design and implement new systems and workflows to streamline both business and personal functions.

Finance & Project Coordination: Assist with payroll and bookkeeping tasks as needed, manage trade insurance coverage, and oversee website content updates.

Technical Troubleshooting: Manage minor ad hoc IT issues and act as the liaison for external IT support providers.
What you must have:

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in office management or a similar administrative leadership role is required.

Industry Knowledge: Experience within the construction or real estate sectors is considered a significant asset.

Technical Proficiency: High-level expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the sensitivity required to handle confidential and complex issues.

Organization & Detail: Extreme attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple incoming requests under pressure.

Attributes: A self-motivated "self-starter" who can work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude.

Education: Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
Salary/Rate Range: $55,000 - $60,000
