Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking a junior-level Employment Litigation Associate to join its Employment Services practice in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners on complex employment litigation matters in federal and state courts, as well as administrative proceedings. The successful candidate will take on meaningful responsibility while developing strong litigation skills in a collaborative, fast-paced, and supportive environment.


What you will be doing:

  • Support all phases of employment litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.

  • Manage and review document productions and assist with discovery strategy.

  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.

  • Assist with witness preparation and trial preparation, including exhibit and briefing support.

  • Collaborate with partners and associates on litigation strategy and case management.

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status, strategy, and developments.

  • Monitor developments in employment law and assist with internal knowledge sharing.


What you must have:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction.

  • Minimum of 2 years of employment litigation or comparable litigation experience.

  • Experience handling discovery, drafting motions, and conducting legal research.

  • Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated interest in employment law and representing employers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized salary range: $205,000 to $330,000.
