Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Implementation Consultant for a 2-to-3-month assignment. The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating clinical drug matching into the BDM Pharmacy system, ensuring seamless Electronic Health Record (EHR) and clinical application functionality. This role is vital to enhancing patient safety and improving healthcare outcomes across the Prairie Health Region.
What you will be doing:

Clinical Integration: Lead the clinical drug matching process for integration into the BDM Pharmacy system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regional healthcare standards.

EHR/Clinical Applications: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and IT teams to ensure successful integration of clinical applications with the BDM Pharmacy system.

Implementation Support: Provide expertise and support during the implementation of pharmacy-related software, including troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.

Training & Education: Offer training and guidance to healthcare staff on the use of the BDM Pharmacy system, emphasizing best practices and compliance.

Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of the integrated systems to ensure all clinical applications function correctly and efficiently.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure the implementation meets the specific needs of the Prairie Health Region.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the implementation process, including any issues encountered and resolutions applied.
What you must have:

Registered Manitoba Pharmacist: Must be a registered pharmacist in Manitoba with credentials for the Prairie Health Region.

EHR/Clinical Applications Experience: Extensive experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical applications, particularly in the context of pharmacy systems.

BDM Pharmacy System Knowledge: Familiarity with the BDM Pharmacy system, including integration and clinical drug matching processes.

Healthcare IT Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare IT systems and their integration with pharmacy and clinical applications.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
