The Product Owner works as part of the Global Data Team, leading the Regional Hub and partnering with stakeholders across the Canada region to understand requirements and priorities that inform the delivery roadmap. Working with the data delivery & analytics teams, you will help to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely manner and that the output is fit for purpose as defined by a series of project specific KPIs. While delivering to business requirements, you will also work with a technical / systems focus on the development of the Global Data capability working closely with the Core Data Team inclusive of Data Modellers, Data Architects & BI/Dashboard Developers within an Agile Development Framework.
What you will be doing:

Lead the Regional Hub to deliver data products that align to the Canada Roadmap and our Global Data transformation strategy.

Build close relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations on prioritisation and delivery.

Perform the full business requirements lifecycle as appropriate i.e. elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management

Plan, manage & run workshops, interviews, and prototyping sessions to elicit, clarify and agree requirements

Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, concise, unambiguous, and verifiable which conform to data team principles

Provide regular communication with the business about Canada Hub activities and be an advocate and evangelist for the Global Data Team.
What you must have:
Experience
-
Skilled at stakeholder management, with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders with varying objectives. You must be able to find resolutions, build trust and ask appropriate/ challenging questions to get to the heart of the business requirements and drive tangible benefits.

Strong Business Analysis background with some experience across Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration, Data Quality Management, and Information Governance

Experience in requirements elicitation from various stakeholder groups, such as 1-1s and workshops

Knowledge of the application of Use Cases, Process Maps, Data Flows and Diagrams

Strong Agile delivery experience

Ability to distil complex ideas into concise descriptions that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

Brilliant communicator, able to confidently engage and inspire stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to generate commitment and create engagement

A collaborative approach to working, with good relationship building and stakeholder management skills

Enthusiasm for learning, trying new things, sharing knowledge, and developing skills in others
Nice to have:

Background in data business analysis, & experience working with data environments is desirable

Experience in data visualisation techniques and principles

Experience with data ingestion processes and the ability to read and understand database schemas, including the relationships between objects and key terminology

Salary/Rate Range: $101,000 - $114,500
Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience
