General Accountant

Base Salary Range: $65000 - $70000

Overview:
Our client is looking for someone with Canadian accounting experience, in manufacturing and/or tech industry, excluding retail, banks, financial institutions. Someone with passion for Accounting, wanting to commit a company and grow within the department/business unit/company. Someone who will be okay with working from the office Monday-Friday and who can drive to the office.


What you will be doing:

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes

• Prepare journal entries to ensure accurate financial records

• Prepare account reconciliations on a timely basis

• Prepare payroll related journal entries and reconciliations

• Prepare financial reports for management and other stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with company accounting standards

• Identify and support improvements in financial processes and controls

• Support the finance department with other duties as required

What you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or related field

• Previous experience in accounting and finance role

• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to analyze, interpret, and condense detail in accordance with established procedures.

Salary/Rate Range: $65,000 - $70,000
