Job Title: Registered Dietitian 
Location:  Fresno, CA 

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join their team. This role is integral in assessing the nutritional needs of patients, developing and implementing personalized nutrition plans, and collaborating with a team to ensure comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate will provide expert nutrition counseling to patients and their caregivers, deliver education to healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of care plans tailored to individual needs. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well being of an elderly population.

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Population: Geriatrics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the nutritional status of patients and plan appropriate interventions.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address patient nutritional needs and contribute to care planning.

  • Provide nutrition counseling, education, and therapy to patients and their families.

  • Conduct initial and periodic reassessments to adapt nutrition plans as needed.

  • Educate and counsel caregivers on dietary issues.

  • Participate in coordinating 24-hour care delivery.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian credential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition, or Dietetics from an accredited college.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly population.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records.

  • Clinical experience in medical nutritional therapy, particularly for chronic diseases affecting geriatric patients

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nutrition experience.

  • Serve Safe Certification.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to adapt to changing demands.
