As a Senior Technician - Security, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch security system installations and maintenance services. This role involves collaborating with project managers and sales teams to review, analyze, and implement installation plans, ensuring exceptional results for clients. You will be responsible for leading installation crews, mentoring junior technicians, and representing our client in a professional manner aligned with their values of innovation, client focus, and teamwork.

What you will be doing:

  • Install and service electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.

  • Perform pre-wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems.

  • Develop and execute Acceptance Testing Plans that align with contract and client requirements.

  • Assist in system design and layout to optimize functionality.

  • Provide training to clients on system use and respond to technical inquiries.

  • Foster relationships with clients, enhancing opportunities for future projects.

  • Manage administrative tasks such as project updates, documentation, and communication with project managers.

  • Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and training.

  • Take on-site leadership for technician crews, ensuring smooth project execution.

  • Be available for on-call duties and night shifts as required by project needs.


What you must have:

  • 8–10 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.

  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent (preferred).

  • Certification in low-voltage systems (vendor certifications preferred).

  • Genetec certification.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.

  • Proficiency in using hand and specialty tools related to the industry.

  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs consistently and prolonged standing/walking.

  • Proven ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
