As a Senior Technician - Service, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing advanced electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. This position involves troubleshooting, repair, and support for state-of-the-art solutions provided by industry-leading manufacturers. You will also have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with customers and contribute to our client’s reputation for outstanding service.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Service and maintain integrated security systems, including hardware and software components.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in collaboration with technical support teams.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing training, responding to inquiries, and offering technical guidance.

  • Complete accurate documentation, including as-built paperwork and detailed reports.

  • Adhere to quality and safety standards while working independently and as part of the service team.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

  • Represent our client positively and professionally, enhancing their standing in the industry.


What you must have:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Service Technician in the security, electronics, telecommunications, or IT industry.

  • Proven expertise with physical security systems, such as Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, or Milestone.

  • Post-secondary education in electronics or an equivalent field.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.

  • Strong command of the English language and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Eligibility to pass various levels of security clearance.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with IP networks, low-voltage electronics, power systems, access control, and CCTV (IP and analog systems).

  • Familiarity with client-server security applications and related technologies.

  • Awareness of productivity and profitability metrics in service-related tasks.

  • Personal hand tools for the role.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally and complete out-of-town work as required.


Salary/Rate Range: $36.00 - $50.00 /hour (plus some overtime opportunities)
