Overview:
Our mid-sized, growing boutique client seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to create and maintain strong client relationships, and possess experience in handling client file issues while providing effective solutions. You should be comfortable mentoring staff, managing a range of engagements, and driving the development of junior team members.


What you will be doing:

• Provide sound advice to clients across various industries on their accounting engagements.

• Manage a variety of engagements including T1, T2, T3, and compilations.

• Assist and coach staff on compilation files, and review their work.

• Lead planning meetings, review compilations, and provide feedback to staff.

• Review personal and corporate taxes.

• Mentor staff and contribute to the development of the accounting team.

• Analyze issues, providing recommendations and solutions.

• Network to grow existing client relationships and bring in new business opportunities.

• Assist with campus recruitment as necessary.

• Perform other tasks as required.

What you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is preferred.

• Minimum five years in a public practice firm with experience reviewing compilations

• Proven experience to train and mentor staff members

• Proficient in MS Excel, TaxPrep, Caseware and DocIt

• Willingness to be on-site during probation time

Salary/Rate Range: $80,000 - $105,000 /year
