Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Geophysicist to join their team! You will work alongside and support technical experts and project leaders in conducting investigations and implementing remediation efforts for Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) projects throughout the United States. This is a remote position and may be located anywhere in the United States.


What you will be doing:

  • Developing technical approaches for geophysical investigation and remediation projects in response to MMRP proposals.

  • Manage work plans and reports for geophysical surveys/mapping in support of investigation and remediation projects.

  • Oversee the technical and cost approaches for geophysical subcontractor proposals.

  • Oversee subcontractors and teams performing traditional DGM and AGC data collection activities and provide quality control review of all processes and data products.

  • Prepare cost analysis for various technological advances in geophysical surveys and data management.

  • Develop and manage Bay West’s geophysical quality system.


What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Geophysical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of performing and evaluating surface geophysical surveys.

  • Over 5 years of experience working on government MMRP projects.

  • Over 5 years of experience in the detection and discrimination of geophysical targets, including military munitions.

  • Experience collecting and processing DGM and AGC data using a broad range of geophysical systems.

  • Experience working under a DAGCAP-accredited quality management system.

  • Proficiency in support applications such as GIS, Access database management, Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages.

  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft applications

  • Experience developing Munitions Response Quality Assurance Project Plans (MR-QAPP) using Toolkit Module 1 and Module 2
