Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee projects of varying scope, complexity, and duration. The successful candidate will manage and deliver projects with clear, achievable outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Depending on experience, the role may include managing smaller-scale projects or contributing to larger, high-risk, and complex initiatives. The position also offers opportunities to work in project support or in the capacity of a Project Controller, as needed.


What you will be doing:

  • Manage and deliver projects of small to medium scope, ensuring all objectives are met on time and within budget.

  • Provide project support on larger, complex initiatives under the direction of a senior supervisor or manager.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Serve as a Project Controller when required, ensuring project data is accurate and financials are tracked effectively.

  • For advanced-level roles, oversee high-priority, high-risk, and complex projects with minimal supervision.

  • Collaborate with state leadership to advance organizational objectives and contribute to IT Investment and statewide project portfolio management.

  • Maintain a high professional standard and deliver results that reflect organizational priorities.


What you must have:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably with a blend of small and complex projects.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

  • Familiarity with project portfolio management and/or IT Investment Management is a plus.

  • For advanced roles, demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, high-risk initiatives and liaise with senior leadership.

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are preferred.

  • Adaptability to handle projects with varying levels of risk and complexity.

  • Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Expertise in identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and delivering measurable results.
