Overview: 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager (contractor) to manage and deliver various business process changes in our client's Non-Integrated Areas. This critical role will be accountable to identify, plan, manage project teams and coordinate the delivery of multiple complex business process work packages and projects to design and operationalize the process changes related to operations, maintenance and asset management. The successful candidate will bring expertise in project management of business processes changes, process development, and stakeholder engagement to drive transformational change that will support the company's strategic objectives including advancing reconciliation.

 

What you will be doing:
Program Planning

  • Work with the SUREI Program resources including Program Manager, change management leads, business leads and others to:

    •  Identify, scope out and prioritise all business process changes required

    • Develop full list of all the process change projects and work packages required for operationalization and sustainment.

    • Integrate this workstream and projects into the overall program management.

Project Management

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and scope business process and project requirements and improvements.

  • Lead planning, execution, and coordination of multiple business process projects and work packages to ensure timely delivery and resource optimization.

  • Track schedules, budgets, and deliverables at both the project and rollup levels.

  • Create a program-level view that integrates individual projects/work packages into a cohesive overall view.

  • Ensure transition to operations / sustainment is complete. Capture lessons learned.

  • Support planning activities, resource acquisition & management, and stakeholder alignment.

Process Development & Implementation

  • Either directly or manage specialized resources and project teams to:

    • Document requirements for various processes from all stakeholders

    • Plan and execute various approaches to update/build new processes

    •  Plan and execute on activities to implement new/updated processes.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manage relationships with internal teams, equipment/services suppliers, support relationship management with First Nations communities, and other external partners.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

 

What you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, preferred

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) 

  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

  • Proven experience in project and program management of business process change,

  • Expertise and experience building new and or changing existing field operations/maintenance/asset management processes driven by changes in equipment/technology.

  • Expertise and ability to work effectively in complex multi-stakeholder environments, including external entities like 3rd party suppliers.

  • Expertise in process development, resource planning, leading diverse project teams,

  • Ability to understand technical information and translate to different audiences. Preference for having expertise working on business process changes related to field maintenance and operations, front-lines, engineering and asset management groups.

  • Outstanding organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage high-change environments with many moving parts.

  • Expertise with various tools, software and systems for project/program management including MS project, Sharepoint, excel, and others.


Salary/Rate Range: $91-111 per hour


Term: 12-month contract; most likely to extend
