Overview:
Our client is looking for a dynamic Analytics Senior Manager to join their growing team to lead data analytics initiatives in identifying business needs, aligning analytics execution with their analytics vision and strategy, and managing the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis. The ideal candidate has the insight and experience to distinguish between projects that range from prototype to scalable long-term analytics solutions and can manage these varying degrees of project complexity and outcomes with business stakeholders. A business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for the company is a necessity for this role. You will work closely with leaders across Accounting & Finance, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, and Marketing to support and implement high-quality, data-solutions that drive business decisions.


What you will do:

  • Refine the Analytics vision and strategy for broader adoption of analytics across Finance, Sales, Customer Support, Marketing, and Product, working collaboratively with other data teams to deliver value to the organization through data insights

  • Define multi-year analytics roadmaps by working closely with key business stakeholders to identify analytics business needs, detail requirements, and crawl, walk, run adoption approaches

  • Use extensive knowledge of advanced data modelling techniques to evaluate initiatives for business value, complexity, and feasibility to recommend prioritization of initiatives to business stakeholders

  • Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.

  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining, and engineering as well as modeling, visualization, and communication deliverables

  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure organizational quality expectations, data security, and regulatory requirements are adhered to

  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, and business within your department to design and implement solutions to meet these needs

  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders

  • Manage our data and analytics platform products throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery and experimentation to launch, and make sure the Analytics platform is accessed and used in alignment with our Analytics vision and centre of the excellence governance process

  • Play a key role in forming an Analytics Centre of Excellence and fostering close collaboration across Data and Business Analysts who will be the area subject matter experts across various domains within the organization

  • Define data governance standards and identify areas of improving data quality that will aid improved reporting

  • Define guiding principles and monitor their adherence for data and business analyst users when creating dashboards from corporate data sets or when defining their own data sets



What you must have:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in an Analytics leadership role setting strategies, vision, and developing roadmaps

  • Experience in creating Analytical products for both internal business stakeholders and external customers with a specific focus on secure data sharing between both

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively

  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations

  • Is someone who is continuously curious about the ever-changing advanced data analytics space and keeps their craft sharpened at all times

  • Has a willingness to create analytical prototypes where the need arises to drive decision-making and aid planning for longer-term scalability

  • Deep understanding of Data Management platforms and the role they play in scalable analytics

  • Ability to communicate Data Management needs to aid Analytics with sufficient understanding and insight to drive close collaboration and product development across Analytics and Data Management teams

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to relate to varying business stakeholder audiences to link concepts to needs and outcomes using storytelling with data techniques

  • Has a track record of driving analytics maturity and adoption and the ability to scale the use of Analytics supported by effective strategy alignment, data governance, and analytics community guidance to prioritize initiatives

  • Proficient in using Confluence, Jira and Product Board to organize, plan, and document all analytics requirements, projects, roadmaps, and procedures

  • Values precision and accuracy in defining, scoping, building, and presenting data products

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills allow for effective work with a variety of different departments

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and the ability to conceptualize and visualize ideas in Miro

  • Experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription environment is a definite asset

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM system and cloud-based accounting applications like NetSuite an asset

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a solution-based mindset

  • Strong work ethic and integrity with the ability to exercise tact and discretion and to be entrusted with confidential information


Salary/Rate Range: $160,000—$200,000 CAD
