Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and contributing to the overall success of their projects. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package.


What you will be doing:

  • Utilize current estimating software to generate accurate project cost estimates and prepare competitive bids.

  • Conduct comprehensive takeoffs of large, complex steel structures, ensuring precise measurements and calculations.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.

  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to identify project requirements and estimate materials, labor, equipment, and other costs.

  • Consult with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and negotiate competitive rates.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and materials to provide accurate and innovative estimates.

  • Review and analyze historical data, project performance, and industry benchmarks to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.

  • Participate in bid presentations and meetings to communicate estimates and address any client inquiries or concerns.

  • Assist in tracking project costs and progress, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Collaborate with the project management team to review and refine estimating processes and strategies.


What you must have:

  • Previous experience as an Sr. Estimator in an industrial setting is essential.

  • Preference will be given to those with experience in Structural steel, Ironworking, Mining, Pile Driving or Industrial Coating backgrounds.

  • Strong knowledge with estimating requirements for large, complex steel structures.Proficient using current estimating software and tools to generate accurate estimates.

  • Solid understanding of project management principles, construction methodologies, and relevant industry regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to execute precise takeoffs and calculations.

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong knowledge of industry HS&E/ best practices and costs that contribute towards project budgets.

  • Fluent English, both verbal and written.


Salary/Rate Range: $110,000 - $150,000
