Overview:

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a fast-growing AI-driven technology company that is transforming commercial kitchen operations. This role involves hands-on assembly of mechanical and electronic components, including hardware production, soldering, and cable assembly. You will play a key part in ensuring product quality, improving efficiency, and supporting our scaling production efforts. This is a hybrid role with on-site work required in Los Angeles, CA, along with occasional travel (~10%) to support clients nationwide.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand and power tools.
  • Perform soldering (wires, through-hole, and surface-mount components) and cable assembly (stripping, crimping, and strain relief).
  • Maintain and improve assembly processes, developing jigs and refining workflows for efficiency.
  • Ensure quality control by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and tracking inventory.
  • Support training and leadership efforts as the team scales.
  • Provide on-site support for hardware devices across the country (~10% travel).

What You Must Have:

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Proficiency in soldering and cable assembly techniques.
  • Understanding of ESD best practices for handling sensitive electronic components.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, with occasional remote flexibility.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience leading or training a small production team.
  • Background in hardware manufacturing, electronics assembly, or production testing.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking, supplier coordination, and process documentation.
  • A problem-solving mindset, capable of designing jigs and improving workflows.

Salary/Rate Range:

  • $60,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience)
  • Equivalent to $28.84 - $48.08 per hour (for a 40-hour/52-week year)
