Overview:
The SAP Architect will be responsible for ensuring the final design package addresses the needs of business and operational partners while aligning strategic objectives, governing principles and existing technology standards.
 

What you will be doing:
 Solution Design

  • You will be responsible for ensuring detailed SAP architecture supports program initiatives in alignment with business and strategic goals, stated operational requirements and expected project scope, timelines and budget

  • Collaborate with partners to ensure business requirements are properly identified, scoped and translated into proposed solutions

  • Ensure the scalability, performance and security of SAP systems

  • Develop and maintain design documentation for SAP architecture and processes

  • Review proposed architecture with key partners at the Architecture Review Board (ARB)

Architectural Leadership

  • Coordinate the development of program decisions and work to ensure alignment between SAP standard methodologies and company strategic goals, values and principles.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to SAP project teams

  • Build multi-year roadmaps and initiatives mature SAP services, optimize investment value and promote process efficiency

  • Collaborate with Global Process and Enterprise Architecture leadership to define target architecture and capability plans which align to partner goals

  • Provide leadership and actively participate in the Architecture Community of Practice (ACoP)

 
What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences (Engineering, Systems Design, Information Technology and Computer Science) or Business

  • 8+ years of experience in SAP architecture, preferably in the Mining or Oil & Gas sector.

  • Direct experience designing solutions for SAP S4 Hana, Rise, BTP, Analytics Cloud and/or Cloud ALM is mandatory

  • Proficiency in provisioning and implementing technology in cloud, on-premises and hybrid configuration models. Ability to design and integrate complex systems, ensuring they are scalable, performant, secure and cost-effective

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex systems, processes and integrations and formulate actionable plans and effective solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical team members
