Overview:
Our client is seeking a Banking & Finance associate with a minimum of 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience to join its top-ranked, high-growth lender-side team in New York. This group represents leading arrangers, direct lenders, and investment banks on some of the largest and most sophisticated financing transactions in the market.
What you will be doing:
- Advise leading financial institutions and direct lenders on complex leveraged and acquisition financings.
- Work on high-value, multi-billion-dollar transactions in a fast-paced, high-profile practice.
- Collaborate with top-ranked finance lawyers across global financial centers.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on structuring, negotiation, and documentation of lending transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while receiving top-tier mentorship and professional development.
What you must have:
- J.D. from a top law school with strong academic credentials.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance at a leading law firm.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Salary/Rate Range: $235,000 - $365,000
