Overview:
PRESTO is an electronic payment system that allows transit users in the GTHA and Ottawa to use different payment methods to move between and within transit systems. PRESTO makes transit travel easier and more convenient across our 11 participating agencies, and our scheme is growing to accommodate additional agencies and partner with new mobility providers and partners. PRESTO is also undertaking a major procurement and transformation exercise to upgrade the PRESTO systems and services over the next three years. Currently work in is progress for multiple procurements, and the planning for the implementation and transition planning to to achieve this. The project coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager/Project Manager in organizing and managing projects. This includes coordinating project activities, managing scheduling, and ensuring that project deadlines are met. The Project Coordinator works closely with the project team members and stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
What you will be doing:

Manages assigned tasks to contribute to the delivery of PRESTO Security Projects.

Supports Project Managers /Senior Project managers through all stages of definition, procurement, and implementation, and ensures adherence to technical and quality requirements, budget, schedule, and approvals.

Ensuring project team adheres to provided timelines and deliverables.

Ensuring documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project.

Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders
-
Solving any issues that may arise during the project.

Managing and building relationships with multiple teams
-
Assisting the Project Manager with administrative functions and processes
-
Managing day-to-day activities for the Project Management team

Analysing project data and producing progress reports

2-3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role

Experience with project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)

Experience in managing IT infrastructure and security-related projects
-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management or a related field.
