Overview:
A high-impact education-focused team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support projects aligned with early childhood data integration. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and refining business and user experience requirements for software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with SDLC, wireframing, accessibility compliance, and user-centered design principles.
What you will be doing:
- Eliciting business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops
- Writing detailed system requirements, user stories, and use cases that align with BA best practices
- Designing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine business processes and improve software workflows
- Ensuring solutions conform to accessibility standards and agency design guidelines
- Facilitating effective communication between product owners, developers, and project stakeholders
- Maintaining and managing requirements documentation throughout the software lifecycle
- Supporting system enhancements and post-implementation review efforts
What you must have:
- 8+ years’ experience in business analysis, including requirements elicitation and process improvement
- 8+ years’ experience with software development life cycles (SDLC)
- 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- 4+ years’ experience designing wireframes and prototypes in Figma or equivalent tools
- 3+ years’ experience ensuring design compliance with federal accessibility guidelines
- Familiarity with tools such as Modern Requirements and Atlassian Jira (preferred)
- Experience working with state education agencies or early childhood care programs (preferred)
