Overview:
A high-impact public sector team is seeking a Software Developer to support the modernization and ongoing development of applications supporting Special Education funding and reporting. This role will focus on building user interfaces and APIs using the latest in ASP.NET Core and Angular (v16+), working on projects that directly support charter schools, school districts, and agency-wide integrations. This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for developers who bring strong experience in Microsoft technologies, UI responsiveness, and ADA compliance.
What you will be doing:

Building and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET Core and Angular (v14+; v18 highly preferred)

Designing UI components that comply with 504 ADA accessibility standards

Developing SQL database schemas, stored procedures, and Entity Framework components
-
Creating and maintaining RESTful APIs for front-end and back-end integrations

Contributing to performance optimization and legacy modernization efforts

Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using industry standard tools

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure applications

Participating in design reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement cycles
What you must have:
-
10+ years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core and C# in the last 5 years
-
Advanced experience in SQL Server, schema design, stored procedures, and SSRS
-
6+ years of front-end development using HTML, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular
-
5+ years of experience writing and executing unit and integration tests

Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services
-
Proficiency in Angular 14 and above (Angular 18 preferred)

Experience making legacy applications compliant with ADA 504 standards

Familiarity with Bootstrap, Blazor, jQuery, and ORM frameworks

Knowledge of data integration/ETL pipelines and tools
Nice to have:

Familiarity with Angular CLI, Angular Material, and RxJS

Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure

Understanding of Azure SQL Database and ArcGIS
