With a legacy of innovation and service excellence, the company provides the tools customers rely on to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in their operations. We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to cover Western Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This is a high-impact, field-based role focused on building and expanding customer relationships while driving revenue growth across the assigned territory. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with power systems equipment and be capable of delivering consultative, technical sales to end users in the utility and industrial sectors.  

 



What you will be doing:

  • Drive sales of the client’s product portfolio including transformer testing, relay test sets, high-voltage circuit breaker diagnostics, and related field equipment

  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with key customers in the utility, service provider, and industrial markets

  • Create and execute a business development plan specific to the assigned territory

  • Provide product demonstrations, technical support, and application guidance to clients and prospects

  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and customer data within the CRM system

  • Collaborate with application engineers, inside sales, and product management teams to ensure successful customer outcomes

  • Attend regional trade shows and customer events as a technical brand representative

 


What you must have:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical field sales in electrical test equipment, diagnostics, or power systems

  • Solid understanding of transformers, relays, switchgear, circuit breakers, or high-voltage electrical systems

  • Experience selling to utility clients is strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative approach to sales

  • Proven ability to manage a large territory independently

  • Self-starter with strong business planning and time management skills

  • No degree required; field experience with relevant equipment is highly valued

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

  • A post-secondary degree is considered an asset, with preference for programs in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related technical field.

  • This position requires at least 50% travel across the Western Canada region. Occasional travel to company offices or North American customer sites may also be required.


Salary/Rate Range: $75,000 - $80,000
