Our client is a worldwide leader in the design and sale of electrical test equipment and has been a premier provider of advanced test and measuring instruments for electrical power applications for more than 100 years. Their products provide testing solutions in the most critical electrical power maintenance areas such as cable fault locating, protective relay, power quality testing, and more. Their wide range of test equipment is the first choice of engineers and technicians working in various industry sectors – electric utilities, manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation, telecom, and more. The Technical Inside Sales Representative will be located in our client’s Toronto, Ontario office and will be responsible for assisting with the growth of their electrical test and measurement division.

What you will be doing:

• Manage all incoming sales inquiries by phone and email to provide technical and sales assistance to new and existing customers and distributors
• Provide support to outside sales reps and internal staff; act as the conduit between customers and outside sales reps as needed
• Provide pricing, complete quotations, respond to tender requests, and offer technical assistance to both internal and external customers
• Process orders and assist with other sales and administrative tasks as required
• Produce regular reports relating to sales, revenues, customers, etc.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, outside sales reps, distributors, and internal departments
• Maintain, update, and enter information into the company’s SAP/ERP and CRM systems

What you must have:

• Degree or certificate in a technical field (electrical/electronic preferred)
• 1+ years of experience in a customer service or technical sales role, preferably in an electronics environment
• Strong customer service and sales focus with the ability to support both external and internal stakeholders
• Proficient computer skills, with above-average knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and CRM systems
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with quote preparation, tender responses, and CRM upkeep
• Knowledge of the utility and electrical testing industry is an asset
• Bilingual in English and French is preferable
