Overview:
The Supply Chain Professional is accountable for delivering assigned outcomes related to the development and execution of category/project supply chain strategies, sourcing strategies and/or sourcing activities following established processes and quality requirements. This role would generally be assigned low to medium complexity and/or risk work assignments with minimal oversight or medium complexity and/or risk work assignments with more oversight.
What you will be doing:

Provide leadership, guidance, and advice to client groups within the line of business in sourcing, procuring, and managing a wide range of goods and services, particularly those with high value, high complexity, and/or high financial or political risk impacts.

Lead cross-functional evaluation teams through the sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract transitioning stages.

Monitor processes with end-users to ensure services and materials are purchased effectively and in accordance with policies and directives across the company

Develop relationships with key contacts at all levels within the organization and external to the company

Accountable for determining appropriate sourcing methods, including the preparation and evaluation of contracting documents such as project procurement strategies, contracting plan, RFP's, RFEI's, RFSQ's, and RFQ’s.

Accountable for maintaining integrity of Hydro's procurement practices.

As a member of the Business Group’s professional sourcing, procurement and contract management team, participates in the identification and development of business process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the Business Group's procurement and sourcing function.
What you must have:

Certificate or additional education in Supply Chain Management, an asset
-
Certificate or additional education in Project Management, an asset
-
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
-
Excellent interpersonal, communications, negotiating, project management, planning and organizational skills
-
Solid understanding of contract development, competitive bid law and contract law.

Ability to successfully manage large procurement projects, including those of a complex nature

Ability to lead complex negotiations with large vendor
-
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain or in an equivalent field, and a combination of one of the following:

Completion of a professional designation such as SCMP, ISM, PMP or CPA
-
Enrollment in advanced degree program such as MBA or equivalent
-
Completion of a business-related continuing development program
-
Experience in crown corporations or government environments, an asset
Salary/Rate Range: $45.00-$55 per hour
Term: 12-month contract; most likely to extend
