Overview:
Our client is a mid-sized public practice accounting firm serving clients in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and the surrounding community.  They prepare compilation and review engagements as well as many other services for small to medium sized businesses and the agricultural sector. You would work closely with their team continuing to develop your skills by working on a wide variety of client assignments including the preparation of working papers, financial statements, corporate/personal tax and other special projects.


What you will be doing:

• Prepare working paper files, financial statements and corporate tax returns

• Calculate and prepare GST returns

• Calculate and prepare payroll and T4/T5 returns

• Prepare personal tax returns

• Full cycle bookkeeping duties (AP, AR, Bank reconciliations, etc.)

• Communication with our clients, government agencies and our professionals/staff

• Prior public practice accounting experience, proficiency in Caseware, iFirm, Taxprep, Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sage and Excel would be definite assets, but consideration will be given to train the right candidate who possesses 5+ years of prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.

• The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, have excellent verbal/written communication skills, and maintain attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.

Salary/Rate Range: $52,000 to $90,000 annually
