What you will be doing:

• Lead, support and manage performance of the Finance team.

• Coordinate activities within the Finance team including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, payroll, special projects accounting, financial planning and reporting.

• Review Finance team work and ensure that all month-end financial accounting duties and all resulting financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Supervise and assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and preparing bank deposits.

• Supervise and assist in the development and maintenance of accounting files and records.

• Record all journal entries (inventory, investments, etc.), process accruals and adjustments, reconcile accounts and prepare monthly accounting statements.

• Monitor accounts receivable.

• Oversee payroll administration for the various organisations.

• Preparation of annual T4s per organisations’ needs.

• Vendor management, including coordinating investment transactions and recording with plan custodians.

• Coordinate the development of the operating and capital budgets

• Assist Leadership with financial planning including cash flow monitoring.

• Monitor fixed asset inventory control system.

• Provide financial statements on a regular schedule and as required.

• Prepare material for Board meetings as required by directors.

• Complete year-end adjustments.

• Prepare for, guide and facilitate annual audits across departments.

• Monitor accounts payable to ensure that purchases and expenditures are within budget and in accordance with organizations’ policies.

• Provide support in the development of business proposals.

• Keep abreast of federal, provincial and municipal developments, laws and policies that may affect the financial operations of the organization.

What you must have:

• Education: CPA required 

• Years of Experience: 5-7 years+ in accounting/finance.

• Ability to lead small team of 3/4 people

Salary/Rate Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
