Overview:
Our client is seeking an SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead to join their ERP transformation team. This opportunity sits at the intersection of business process optimization and enterprise technology delivery, supporting a recent move to S/4HANA on RISE. This position is based in Downtown Calgary with a flexible hybrid work model. The Finance Lead will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and IT, guiding strategic initiatives and process improvements across core S/4HANA Finance modules. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience optimizing post-upgrade environments and will contribute to the long-term roadmap for finance technology transformation.

What you will be doing:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Lead process improvement and system stabilization efforts across core Finance modules (FI/CO, PS, TRM, Cash Management)

• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute finance-related system enhancements

• Design and support real-time reporting, automation, and analytics aligned with finance objectives

• Support month-end close streamlining and automation initiatives

• Define a multi-year vision for finance system capabilities and enhancements

Technical & Functional Expertise

• Serve as a senior SME on finance module configurations, integrations, and customizations

• Oversee integration between the core ERP and satellite finance systems (consolidation, planning, etc.)

• Conduct testing and validation for system changes and enhancements

• Contribute to control design, audit readiness, and system reliability through automation and documentation

What you must have:

• 8+ years of SAP Finance experience; minimum 3 years hands-on with S/4HANA Finance

• Demonstrated success leading post-upgrade stabilization and optimization efforts

• Experience with configuration of FI/CO modules; additional exposure to Project Systems, Treasury, or Cash Management preferred

• Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to guide both technical and business teams

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, or a related discipline required; CPA or SAP Finance certification is an asset

Salary/Rate Range: $130,000.00 -160,000.00
