Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to support a major dam project located in Angleton, Texas. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a proactive leader with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in overseeing materials testing and inspection services, managing project execution, coordinating with field teams and clients, and ensuring all work meets rigorous technical and safety standards. What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage CMT operations for a high-profile dam project
  • Prepare or assist with proposals for new contracts
  • Provide oversight of ongoing projects — including technical direction, budget management, and staffing
  • Conduct site visits to address technical issues and ensure quality standards are met
  • Act as a key liaison with clients and contractors, maintaining clear and timely communication
  • Review field and lab reports daily; ensure accurate and timely data reporting
  • Mentor junior project managers and field staff to support professional development and team performance
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulatory standards at all times
  • Forecast equipment and personnel needs to meet project milestones
 

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT), including project management responsibilities
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and safety procedures
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or managing technical staff
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as needed (limited overnight travel, some travel to company headquarters and U.S.-based events)
  • Willingness to assist with field testing if necessary
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); CRM experience preferred
